Et nous ne pouvions pas obtenir de pr\u00eat bancaire pour acheter un terrain parce que les femmes n\u2019ont pas de titre de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Fatuma Wario, pr\u00e9sidente de ce groupe de<br \/>\n13 membres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Ceci est courant. Peu de femmes k\u00e9nyanes poss\u00e8dent des documents de titre foncier, et peu de femmes les obtiennent. Depuis 2013, moins de 2 % des titres fonciers ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9livr\u00e9s \u00e0 des femmes, d\u00e9clare l\u2019organisme \u00e0 but non lucratif Kenya Land Alliance en mars 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Puisque les banques conventionnelles exigent un nantissement, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral sous forme de titre foncier, pour accorder un pr\u00eat, la plupart des femmes n\u2019ont pas l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de monter une entreprise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">En fin de compte, les femmes du groupe ont emprunt\u00e9 de l\u2019argent aupr\u00e8s d\u2019un \u00e9tablissement qui pr\u00eate aux groupes de femmes sans exiger de titre foncier. \u00c0 sa place, c\u2019est l\u2019argent comptant de leurs \u00e9pargnes qui garantit le pr\u00eat. Dans le cas de Mme Wario, il fallait transf\u00e9rer le compte d\u2019\u00e9pargne \u00e0 la banque qui \u00e9tait pr\u00eate \u00e0 accorder un pr\u00eat de 1.000 dollars. \u00c0 l\u2019aide de cet argent et d\u2019une partie de leurs \u00e9conomies, \u00ab nous avons achet\u00e9 du b\u00e9tail et lou\u00e9 un terrain de p\u00e2turage \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">C\u2019\u00e9tait en 2017. Ce faisant, le groupe a pu louer 4 hectares de p\u00e2turage \u00e0 un co\u00fbt annuel de 30.000 shillings k\u00e9nyans (300 dollars).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Le taux d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat annuel du pr\u00eat est 12 %. Dans la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, chaque b\u00eate engraiss\u00e9e du troupeau a rapport\u00e9 un profit de 30 dollars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Pour le groupe de Mme Wario, la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape consistait \u00e0 s\u2019associer au Programme de promotion rurale des innovations financi\u00e8res et des technologies, lequel est financ\u00e9 par le Fonds international des Nations unies pour le d\u00e9veloppement agricole et par l\u2019Alliance pour une r\u00e9volution verte en Afrique. Les responsables d\u00e9clarent qu\u2019environ 60 groupes de femmes de l\u2019Est du Kenya ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de ce programme. Plus de 40.000 femmes k\u00e9nyanes ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de pr\u00eats sans nantissement. Aucun de ces pr\u00eats n\u2019est rest\u00e9 impay\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">En plus des entreprises de b\u00e9tail, le programme aide aussi les femmes \u00e0 \u00e9lever de la volaille et \u00e0 faire de l\u2019apiculture sur un terrain lou\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Pour obtenir un pr\u00eat, la personne doit \u00eatre un membre actif d\u2019un r\u00e9seau agroindustriel. Elle peut alors faire demande d\u2019un emprunt \u00e0 titre individuel aupr\u00e8s d\u2019une institution pr\u00eatant aux agriculteurs, auquel cas sa participation dans le r\u00e9seau agroindustriel sert de nantissement.
